So you like nature traveling, huh? The state of Utah is then, the land of your dreams. No matter what kind of natural scenery you are into, you will find it all here (Well, not oceans but beaches regardless). Whether you are into hiking, climbing, canyoneering, skiing, base-jumping, road-tripping or Instagramming (Since that's a "form" of new age exploration), Utah satisfies all your adventurous cravings.
The scenery of Utah is widely divided into three geographical categories. Towards the north, you have the basin and the northwest ridge region composed of salt beds. Yes, that's where the Great Salt Lake and the famous Bonneville Salt Flats are. Oh, and those beaches I mentioned? You'll find them in areas such such as Antelope Island State park.

Spanish Fork
Come a little south and find yourself amidst the majestic Rockies. For road-trippers, I-15 and Hwy 89 both provide spectacular views of the mountains, though Hwy 89 gets you up, close and personal with snow-covered ridges. Gorgeous Uinta and Wasatch mountains span wide through this region and beautiful national forests such as the Fishlake and Dixie add a little green to all this white and brown.

Utah Lake State Park
As you venture even more south, the scenery drastically changes and you enter the Colorado plateau region covering almost all of bottom-third of Utah. Trippy looking, colorful gorges and oh, those sweet, sweet rock formations you just want to climb on the second you see them. Some wonderful climbing destinations can be found here. Five beautiful National Parks namely Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands and Capitol Reef showcase the unparalleled beauty of this region. The scenery continues further down until the world-famous Monument Valley just before entering the state of Arizona.
